Hey, all! Well, the last two weeks were every eventful for me.

On December 12th, me and three other people from my school went to an academic team competition in Wilmington, Delaware. Basically, it was a tournament in which they ask random questions about any subject, and you have to buzz in with the correct answer. Kinda like Jeopardy, only without Alex Trebek, money, and saying "Who/What is" before every response. It was really fun for everyone. I did pretty well, I got a bunch of questions right as well as some powers (that means I answered the question early enough to get extra points), and overall, the team was at their best.

They did so well, in fact, that we managed to reach the top four in the tournament out of thirty other varsity teams, and this was big considering we beat out major teams. We got fourth, but we got a trophy and we qualified for the NAQT (that's the company that makes these random questions) Nationals Tournament in May, held in Chicago. It was an amazing feeling. No one team from my school ever achieved this high honor. I was happy all the way home from Delaware that day.

Also, I asked someone to the prom. Yes, I know it was extremely early but I decided to go for it and ask someone anyway. She said "yes" promptly after, and that made me feel better about myself. So now I'm all set for the Senior prom. Excellent.

I got into the play as well, and that was a major achievement, seeing how I did nothing to prepare for the audition and that the entire play consists of only six roles with only three male parts. I play a father. I don't know the entire context of the play yet, but I think I will have a fantastic time, as always, doing the school production.

Finally, Christmas break started, and I'm all geared up for a week of laziness. I'm gonna mellow out, man. Things are gonna be great around this here place, I'll tell ya that much.
